First Things First

Welcome to my first blog post ever! I've celebrated a lot of firsts this year and in that spirit of things, I thought I would share a few of those so you could get to know a little bit more about who I am.
Here goes nothing!

2015 Notable Firsts

My husband and I made this banner for our wedding. It was one of our favorite focal points and was just perfect for the fireplace mantle! FH Weddings hit it out of the park with these florals and Ashton Events brought it all home with the styling. So much magic to be had. The beautiful image is courtesy of By The Robinsons .

  1. I got married! This past May, my husband and I tied the knot in Clearwater, FL where I grew up surrounded by some of our favorite people in the world. It was truly magical in every sense of the word. I'm excited to share photos with you all as we ended up designing a lot of the details along the way in order to make sure it truly reflected our personality as a couple. It was so fun and really the catalyst for why I'm writing this post today!

  2. I opened an Etsy Shop! Ma Belle Calligraphy was born on June 5, 2015. Since then, I've met a whole new wonderful group of creatives who are passionate about many of the same things I am! It has been so encouraging and such an exciting and challenging experience thus far. I can't wait to continue to grow it alongside you all!

  3. We got our first house! Ok, so for some people this milestone might imply that we actually went out and bought a house, which unfortunately is just not the case for us at this point in our lives. However, what we did do was find an adorable house to rent and start to make it our own as a newlywed couple! And while there are still boxes waiting to be unpacked in our living room and bedroom, it is slowly coming together. Each holiday season has inspired me to set the table and amp up our spirited decor. Christmas lights, however, are by far my favorite. Below is a photo of our current Christmas tree! I'm so in love.

These are just a few of the highlights from this past year! I'm very much looking forward to utilizing these to set goals for myself in 2016. As we reflect on this year, I would love to know what are some firsts from 2015 that you're particularly proud of and excited about? And what are you looking for to in the New Year?
