Erica and I became good friends when we both worked together at Davidson College. Our close proximity at work coupled with our shared passion for dissecting every conversation on the Bachelor was a clear sign that our friendship was meant to be. My husband and I have had the privilege of working on a few projects for Erica at this point. The most recent project (and by far the one that got me most excited) was the opportunity to letter Erica's sorority's purpose statement to commemorate her five year anniversary as a member. Y'all, I love celebrating special moments and this one was extra special for Erica because her involvement in her sorority eventually led Erica to pursue a career in Greek Life and Higher Education. Her job isn't an easy one, but Erica works hard to make a difference in young people's lives day in and day out and to ensure that they find the community, values, growth and purpose that being part of a Greek organization can bring.
Erica's students love her and know she cares about them as she pours so much heart into her work each and every day. I am so grateful to have Erica in my life and to call her a friend!
Remember in Rachel's story, how I mentioned that she was half the reason I started creating embossed stationery? Well, Erica is the other half of that puzzle and the person who introduced me to the magical world of heat embossing.
